Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline) OR 7 years of relevant experience in lieu of bachelor's degree.
  • Advanced degree (e.g., Master's in Healthcare Administration, MBA, or related field) is preferred.
  • 6-8 years of experience with Epic systems or similar EHR platforms in areas such as security, data courier administration, environment and release management, interfaces, and conversion.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role managing a team of analysts in the Cross Application areas.
  • Epic Certification in one of the Cross Application areas such as Data courier administration, Bridges, preferred.

Primary Function:

The primary function of the Cross Application Support Senior Manager is to lead and manage the enterprise-wide implementation of the Epic system for cross application support areas including data courier admin/environment release management, interface (Bridges), and conversions. This role involves coordinating and communicating with various stakeholders, managing the scope, schedule, and quality of the project, and ensuring that the system meets the organization's business needs. The manager will work closely with the VP EHR Implementation, other directors and managers, and Epic representatives to guide workflow design, build, and test the system, and troubleshoot issues. The role includes exposure to areas such as data courier administration, environment and release management, interfaces, and conversions.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Directly lead and manage a team of Epic analysts ensuring team alignment and effective support during and post implementation
  • Lead and manage the enterprise-wide implementation and integration of cross-application support areas including data courier admin/environment release management, interface (Bridges), and conversions
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and quality of the cross-application support implementation and performance
  • Set clear expectations for team members and define their roles at each project phase
  • Collaborate with the VP and project managers, program leads, governance groups, and integrated workgroup to coordinate activitiesto ensure alignment on cross-functional workflow and content, facilitating seamless integration across the project and addressing interdependencies effectively
  • Advise and coach team members on project issues, key success factors, and lessons learned
  • Reinforce the importance of the cross-application support project with executives and the VP, providing consistent communication to the project team
  • Appropriately match team member skills to team responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the cross-application support project from an organizational perspective while attending to detailed tasks
  • Serve as a point of contact for cross-application areas
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues related to data courier admin, environment release management, interfaces, and conversion
  • Lead workflow design, build and test cross-application solutions, and analyze technical issues associated with Epic software
  • Act as a liaison between organizational needs and Epic implementation staff
  • Maintain regular communication with Epic representatives, including participating in weekly project team meetings
  • Collaborate with Epic representatives, the organization's business community, and end users to ensure the cross-application support system meets the organization's business needs regarding project deliverables and timeline
  • Develop an understanding of operational needs to set the direction for the organization's cross-application workflows
  • Lead training and work with end users to ensure effective use of cross-application support tools
  • Review the status of cross-application support projects and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership
  • Hold weekly communications with team members to discuss the status of deliverables, shared issues, end-user concerns, budget, and upcoming milestones
  • Own integrated efforts that span multiple applications such as security, data courier admin, environment release management, interfaces, and conversion

Annual Compensation Range $135,720.00 - $217,172.80This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
