Description
The Materials Processor position at Northrop Grumman in Sykesville, Maryland, involves performing various manual and clerical receiving duties, utilizing computer systems for receiving, tracking, reporting, and preparing materials for storage. The role requires skills in SAP, Forklift and pallet jack, as well as maintaining inventory and preparing items for storage, including hazardous materials.
Responsibilities
• Performs a variety of manual and clerical shipping duties.
• Uses a computer system for tracking, logging, verifying and reporting.
• Follows receiving practices and procedures and prepares materials for storage.
• Maintains an inventory of materials in the shop for use at all times.
• Performs a range of activities to prepare items for storage storage including routine packaging.
Basic Qualifications for the Materials Processor/Receiving:
• High School diploma or GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in shipping/receiving, distribution, inventory management or warehouse operations.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level clearance
• U.S Citizenship
Preferred Qualifications for the Materials Processor/Receiving:
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP software.

Primary Level Salary Range: $44,825.00 - $98,131.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
