Job Location: Long Island City, NY (Onsite)
Employment Type: Contract (12 Months)
Pay Range: $71-$75/hr (W2), depending on experience

About the Opportunity
We Government client located in Long Island City, NY is seeking an experienced Senior .NET Developer to join a high-impact technology team supporting a large-scale healthcare modernization initiative. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise applications and integration services that enable secure, reliable exchange of critical healthcare data.
The ideal candidate has deep expertise in C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, Azure, and HL7 messaging standards, along with a passion for building scalable, high-performance solutions in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications and integration services using C# and .NET Core.
  • Build and support secure, high-performance RESTful APIs and microservices using ASP.NET Core.
  • Develop solutions for processing, validating, and transforming healthcare data using HL7 messaging standards.
  • Design and optimize SQL Server databases, stored procedures, and complex queries.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and deploy applications using Azure DevOps and Azure cloud services.
  • Troubleshoot application, integration, and data exchange issues while ensuring system reliability and performance.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, QA teams, and technical leadership throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Follow modern software architecture best practices, including microservices and event-driven design.
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Expert-level experience with C#, .NET, and .NET Core.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience working with HL7 v2 messaging standards.
  • Strong experience developing ASP.NET Core Web APIs and microservices.
  • Experience designing scalable, cloud-based applications using Microsoft Azure.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL Server, database design, query optimization, and stored procedures.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with reporting tools such as SSRS, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of modern software architecture and integration patterns.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working within healthcare, clinical, laboratory, or other regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with healthcare interoperability and enterprise integration solutions.
  • Experience with SSIS or other data integration technologies.
