The Bancroft School, located in Hoffman Estates, is accepting applications for the position of a Marketing & Development Intern. The Bancroft School is a non-profit, private school for students with autism and related disabilities.
Position Grant Writing Intern (part time, non-paid)
Division Marketing & External Relations Department

Job Description Qualifications: A minimum of a presently enrolled student in a community college or degree granting institution, but preferably a college senior pursuing a degree in one of the following fields: Philanthropy, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or a related field. Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office, possess strong communication skills and have some marketing experience.
Responsibilities will include researching available and applicable grants, research and apply for giving programs, create spreadsheet outlining grantor requirements and application deadlines, write solicitations for potential donors, write compelling nonprofit documents in preparation for grant, draft full grant proposals for submission, assist in compliance and reporting requirements for grantors/funders, write passionate promotion messaging geared toward donors.
Direct Report The position will report directly to the Director of Marketing & External Relations.
