Job Summary

Engineer III, under general supervision assists with engineering system design during all phases of multiple, simultaneous projects by performing design calculations, specifications, interpreting and preparing reports, applying techniques and procedures, preparing cost estimates, impact studies, permits and designs/deliverable drawings. 


Job Responsibilities

  • Manages and perform system design, including calculations, equipment selection, layout, and drawing preparation. 
  • Develops and reviews project documents, specifications, and design options; ensures code compliance through meetings and reviews.
  • Conduct site investigations and technical research to support design decisions. 
  • Coordinates with technicians and staff; assign tasks and checks work for accuracy. 
  • Apply standard engineering practices and software tools to produce high-quality deliverables.
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of relevant codes and design standards. 
  • Build and develop internal and external relationships  

Requirements

Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering

Preferred Education & Experience

  • 2 - 6 years' experience
  • Engineer-in-Training/Fundamentals of Engineering (EIT)
  • Solid command of core engineering principles with the ability to apply them to real-world, multidisciplinary projects. 
  • Proficient in problem-solving
  • Experienced with industry-standard software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit)
  • Competent in data interpretation and statistical analysis
  • Working knowledge of project management fundamentals
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and sound engineering judgement
  • Detail-oriented and quality focused
  • Effective communicator
