Guidehouse is seeking a Salesforce Developer to support break/fix operations and incremental enhancements for an existing Salesforce org. This role focuses on handson troubleshooting, rootcause remediation, and delivery of targeted enhancements that maintain platform stability while improving user experience. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a production support environment, balancing urgent issue resolution with a steady flow of enhancement work, and collaborating closely with Business Analysts, Administrators, and Architects to deliver reliable, wellgoverned solutions.

What You Will Do:

Break/Fix (Production Support)

  • Serve as a handson technical resource for Salesforce production issues, including defects, data integrity problems, automation failures, permissions issues, and integration errors.

  • Analyze and troubleshoot issues across Salesforce configuration and custom code, including Apex, Flows, Lightning components, and integrations.

  • Perform rootcause analysis (RCA) by reviewing logs, debug output, data models, automation logic, and integration behavior.

  • Implement fixes using configuration or code changes, following established development standards and change control processes.

  • Validate fixes in lower environments and support controlled deployment to production.

  • Provide clear technical documentation of issues, root causes, and implemented resolutions.

  • Partner with Business Analysts and stakeholders to communicate impacts, timelines, and resolution outcomes.

Enhancements (Backlog Support)

  • Develop incremental enhancements based on welldefined user stories and acceptance criteria.

  • Collaborate with Business Analysts and Solution Architects to refine technical approaches that align with existing platform patterns.

  • Implement enhancements using Salesforce best practices, minimizing risk to production stability.

  • Support unit testing, system testing, and UAT by resolving defects and refining solutions based on feedback.

  • Assist in managing a small, steady enhancement backlog alongside production support responsibilities.

Production Stability and Governance

  • Ensure all development work adheres to established SDLC, release management, security, and auditability standards-especially in publicsector or regulated environments.

  • Identify recurring issues and contribute to longterm fixes that reduce technical debt and operational overhead.

  • Support evaluation of Salesforce seasonal releases by identifying potential technical impacts and required mitigations.

  • Promote platform reliability, maintainability, and performance through disciplined development practices.

What You Will Need:

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in Salesforce

  • Bachelor's degree (Relevant experience may be substituted for formal education or advanced degree)

  • US Citizenship is contractually required

  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "SECRET"securityclearance; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of clearance prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE "SECRET" or higher-level clearance are preferred.

  • Ability to commute in the San Antonio Guidehouse Office


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Design and implementation of real-time and batch integration with Salesforce and other legacy systems using REST / SOAP and Bulk APIs or Any Tool/ESB (Informatica/MuleSoft/Cast-Iron).

  • Expert level knowledge in Apex Programming, Webservices, Flows, VF Pages, and strong expertise on building complex LWCs, leveraging JavaScript, CSS, and Aura framework

  • Expert-level experience in REST, SOAP, Bulk API, and hands-on experience in designing and developing complex integrations between Salesforce and third-party applications

  • Experience in "Big 4" or equivalent established consulting firm and/or Salesforce Platinum partner is highly desired

  • Salesforce Platform Developer II certification is preferred

  • Experience with public sector clients preferred

  • Experience with Agile or Hybrid-Agile methodology

  • Omnistudio experience preferred

  • Complement hands-on experience with front-end languages and backend tools for web engineering (Apex, Triggers, Data loader, Visualforce, Lightning Framework, API's JavaScript APIs, HTML5, and CSS).

  • Understanding of Salesforce object model, governor limits, and best practices

  • Demonstrable experience in at least one of: Public Sector Solutions, Agentforce, Omnistuidio, Box, and Mulesoft is highly desired
