Requirements:
  • 1+ year of experience as a Leasing Consultant or in a customer service, sales, or contact center environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately manage documentation and application information.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and empathetically with prospective residents.
  • Intermediate computer skills with the ability to quickly learn and navigate new systems.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize workload.
  • Familiarity with multifamily housing applications and leasing processes is preferred.
  • Experience with ResMan or other property management software is preferred.

In this role, you will

  • Guide prospective residents through the application process, providing clear information regarding requirements, fees, and timelines.
  • Respond to applicant questions and concerns with professionalism, empathy, and a commitment to delivering a positive experience.
  • Process incoming rental applications and ensure all required documentation is received and complete.
  • Verify applicant information, including income, employment, and rental history, using established processes and checklists.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding application requirements, status, and anticipated timelines.
  • Partner with onsite community teams to facilitate the timely review and approval of applications.
  • Prepare and send leases accurately and efficiently to prospective residents.
  • Ensure applications are processed in accordance with Fair Housing laws, company policies, and established procedures.
  • Maintain the confidentiality and security of sensitive applicant information.
  • Follow standard operating procedures to support consistency, accuracy, and compliance throughout the application process.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development through Mark-Taylor programs and San Casa virtual learning to remain current on policies, procedures, and best practices.
