Job Summary:
Reporting to Inpatient Clinical or Ambulatory Manager, this individual will provide application system support and be responsible for collaborating independently with systems business/clinical management and serve as technical resources to identify, analyze, prioritize and resolve system needs; use cases, workflow and metrics to configure, maintain and monitor system use. This individual will provide suggestions for potential application modifications, enhancements or business process changes as appropriate. This would include metrics and KPI's designed to monitor the performance of management and staff in achieving SLA's, adhering to process and the timely recording of pertinent data. This individual must have strong knowledge IS processes as well as software application support.
The Applications Analyst III works independently and relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish tasks. Days and hours worked may be variable.
Education:
Required:
Baccalaureate Degree in Information Sciences or related field, OR equivalent combination of education and experience

Department Position Summary:
The employee must be able to demonstrate strong knowledge and skills necessary to provide comprehensive support for systems/applications. The employee must demonstrate strong knowledge on health care operations and the application of information technology to aid and improve health care functions.
The employee must:
Participates in the development and design of the application(s) for which there is an in-depth knowledge required of the assigned system.
Develop functional specifications and operational process flows, department procedures, business requirements, or other necessary documentation for approved system enhancements or modifications.
Demonstrate strong knowledge of IS internal department processes as well as software application support
Require little to no supervision and collaborate independently with IS management
Provide Technical resource to identify, analyze, prioritize and resolve system needs
Able to use cases, work flows and metrics to configure, maintain and monitor system use
Demonstrates an advanced understanding of the business management
Provides suggestions for potential application modifications, enhancements or business process changes as appropriate as well as advising business and technical counterparts regarding current system functionality
Produce and provide analysis through reports, dashboards, and analytic tools to management
Develop Metrics and KPI's designed to monitor the performance of management and staff in achieving SLA's, adhering to process and the timely recording of pertinent data
Communicates effectively with users, colleagues, and developers
Provides estimates for moderate to complex work efforts
Supports multiple concurrent projects and/or application modules, educates and coaches other team members and manages user expectations
Manages tasks, resources, and project plans for team assignments
Highly effective written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills to establish working relationships and education
Strong organizational skills in managing multiple priorities
