Job description

Oracle EPM technical / functional resource. Role involves independently coordinating efforts across EPM modules to ensure high quality outcomes and optimizing the user experience.  Responsibilities include customer support - tracking incidents, diagnosis, replication, troubleshooting, testing, and resolution of cases - as well as streamlining processes, deploying automation where possible, and maintaining systems to meet the needs of the business.  The analyst performs as an SME for financial and budgeting systems while collaborating with other technology teams and business leaders to ensure the performance of the toolset through Oracle EPM. 

Note:
There is one position available and the position will be filled at one of four job grade levels: Oracle EPM Application Analyst I, job grade 7; Oracle EPM Application Analyst II, job grade 8, Oracle EPM Application Analyst III, job grade 9; or Senior Oracle EPM Application Analyst, job grade 10. This decision will be based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate selected, and Tri-State business needs at the time of hire.

Education and Training:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent combination of education and/or experience (required)

  • CPA / Financial Background (preferred)

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:

  • Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial statements.

  • Ability to translate finance needs into technical Oracle EPM solutions.

  • Work collaboratively with Finance, Accounting, IT.

Experience

  • Eight + (8) years of progressive Oracle EPM applications support experience.

  • Senior level Oracle analyst, experience with EPM, ARCS, FCCS, EDMCS.

  • Accounting and Project Control experience.

  • Experience with ASO/BSO cube design, metadata management, data integrations, SQL, data modeling, ETL/ELT, Smart View development, Financial/Narrative reporting development, and Management Reporting in EPM.

  • Those with less experience will be hired at the level I, II, or III grade level as appropriate.

  • Willingness to travel as required. (Must possess a valid driver's license.)

  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to perform all the essential functions of the position.

  • Effectively translate business requirements and maintain software programs according to specifications.

  • Perform full development lifecycle experience - design, build, test, deploy, support.

  • Develop and maintain business rules, calculation scripts, dashboards, web forms, task lists, navigation flows within Oracle EPM applications as needed.

  • Develop and maintain reports Oracle EPM Management Reports.

  • Develop and maintain integration into and out of Oracle EPM.

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of user procedures and guidelines.

  • Provide support and guidance to other software developers.

  • Monitor and test scheduled Oracle EPM enhancements and monthly upgrades.

  • Adhere to and demonstrate compliance with appropriate electric utility industry regulatory requirements.  Attain knowledge and remain knowledgeable of development in regulations, laws, standards and best practices applicable to the functional area including, but not limited to, Standards of Conduct, Environmental, Employment Law, NERC Reliability Standards and Safety.  Must be familiar with, and comply with, all aspects of Corporate Policy C-54, Compliance.
