Job Title
Clinical Application Analyst — Patient Access
 
Job Summary
Supports the development, testing, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of new and existing Electronic Health Record (EHR) applications. The focus of this position will be Patient Access services, including scheduling, registration, referrals, prior authorizations, eligibility, and admission workflows in both hospital and ambulatory settings. This role serves as a key liaison between Patient Access operations and Information Technology Solutions. 
 
Compensation
We are committed to providing wage ranges for all open positions. Please note that the specific compensation for this role will be determined based on experience, education and internal equity considerations. The annual salary range for this position is $67,496.00 to $95,284.80, based on a 1.0 FTE. This range reflects the base salary for this position.
 
Key Accountabilities
  • Provide expertise in the design, build, testing, and support of EHR Patient Access functionality, including integrated and interfaced applications. 
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Patient Access staff, applications and workflows. 
  • Act as a primary liaison between Patient Access operational teams and Information Technology Solutions. 
  • Receive, analyze, track, document, and coordinate resolution of system issues and enhancement requests. 
  • Collaborate with Patient Access leadership, end users, Super Users, and other analysts. 
  • Assist in the review, testing, and validation of new software, software releases and updates. 
  • Support training and go-live activities for Patient Access system updates. 
  • Ensure adherence to information security policies, privacy requirements, and regulatory standards. 
  • Participate in after-hours and weekend on-call support as scheduled 
  • Adhere to all ITS Security Policies and Procedures. 
  • Lead configuration, build, and optimization of MEDITECH Expanse Patient Access modules, other 3rd applications and services including participation in optimization efforts.   
  • Support consistent Patient Access workflow standards across the hospital and all clinic locations, ensuring multi-site operational needs are reflected in system configuration. 
  • Manage and support third-party Patient Access integrations. 
Required Qualifications 
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work-related experience. 
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting EHR Patient Access applications. 
  • Knowledge of Patient Access workflows such as scheduling, registration, eligibility, referrals, and admissions. 
  • Experience supporting integrated and interfaced EHR modules. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills. 
Preferred Qualifications  
  • Experience with MEDITECH Expanse with demonstrated experience in Patient Access applications and services. 
  • Experience supporting third-party Patient Access integrations. 
  • Interest in healthcare information technology and workflow optimization. 
  • Strong organizational and project management skills. 
  • Ability to understand cross-departmental workflows and system impacts. 
  • Experience working in a community health system, or multi-site ambulatory environment. 
Schedule
  • 80 hours per two-week pay period
  • Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
  • There will be occasional evenings and early mornings for special projects or maintenance needs
  • On-call rotation required once every 13 weeks for 7 consecutive days (Monday evening through Monday morning).
