Job Summary:
 
The Appliance Installation Apprentice supports Appliance Installers with the delivery, installation, removal, and setup of residential appliances. This role is a training and development position designed to build foundational technical skills, safety awareness, and customer service standards required for progression into an Installer role. The Apprentice works under direct supervision and assists with physical tasks, preparation, and job site support while learning proper installation procedures and company expectations.
 
 
Essential Duties: 
·        Assist Appliance Installers with the delivery and installation of household appliances including washers, dryers, ranges, refrigerators, dishwashers, and other appliances
·        Update Dispatch Track and field service software as directed to reflect accurate delivery and installation status
·        Capture and upload required photos at designated stages of delivery and installation to support documentation and job completion
·        Assist with loading and unloading appliances, tools, and materials from company vehicles
·        Prepare installation areas by removing packaging, protecting customer property, and clearing workspaces
·        Hand tools, parts, and materials to Installers during installations
·        Assist with appliance removal and haul away following company and environmental guidelines
·        Observe and learn proper installation techniques, safety practices, and troubleshooting procedures
·        Observe and assist with custom installation work including built-in appliances, specialty venting, and non-standard installation requirements under direct Installer supervision
·        Support Installers with two-person installation processes as required
·        Maintain cleanliness of job sites, vehicles, and tools
·        Communicate professionally with customers while on site under Installer direction
·        Follow all safety guidelines including proper lifting techniques and use of personal protective equipment
·        Complete required training, certifications, and safety programs as assigned
·        Perform additional duties as assigned
 
 
Qualifications:
·        High school diploma or equivalent preferred
·        Ability to perform physical labor including lifting and moving heavy appliances
·        Willingness to learn appliance installation skills and safety standards
·        Strong reliability and attendance
·        Basic communication and customer service skills
·        Previous experience in delivery, construction, or manual labor environments preferred
·        Mechanical aptitude or interest in technical trades preferred
 
 
Physical Requirements:
·        Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy appliances with assistance
·        Ability to lift up to fifty pounds as needed
·        Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb stairs throughout the workday
·        Ability to work in residential environments including tight spaces
·        Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions
 
 
Work Environment:
·        Work is performed in customer homes, delivery routes, and service locations
·        Frequent physical activity including lifting, carrying, and positioning appliances
·        Exposure to varying temperatures, tight spaces, and residential conditions
·        Regular interaction with Installers, customers, dispatch, and leadership
