As an Appliance Repair Technician Trainee, you will be running service work with senior-level technicians, learning the trade to be a high-end appliance technician.  We work on a wide range of Appliances, from basic laundry to premier French ranges, wine cooling systems, and everywhere in between.  Looking for someone with basic HVAC schooling, electronics background, plumbing experience, forklift or automotive repair, or a similar trade skill set.  Knowing how to use a multimeter is key. We are looking for a well-mannered, professional-minded individual we can mold into a top-tier tech with 100k+ a year potential.  You'll need to be able to show respect and courtesy to all customers and employees.  
This position is right for you if you are self-motivated, have a knack for troubleshooting, and are able to manage time to effectively meet deadlines. Ideally, you have proven communication skills with supervisors, employees, and customers.  Training runs anywhere from 3-6 months, depending on your skills, willingness, and ability to learn the trade.  A mechanical and appliance aptitude test must be completed before an interview.
 
Specific Responsibilities:
  • Install home appliances/equipment
  • Accurately diagnose and repair appliances/equipment in the customer's home
  • Provide cost estimates for repairs/installations and collect payment and/or payment information from customers for work performed
  • Complete invoices, daily route sheets, and weekly reports as required
  • Perform other duties as needed, which may include cross-training in related positions
  • Potential to receive online appliance schooling
 
Job Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean record
  • will need to pass a background screening
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Proficiency in navigating tablet-based technology
  • The ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis, and up to 100 pounds on an occasional basis without assistance and the physical ability to perform strenuous work under varied circumstances
  • Flexible and variable hours (no weekends)
  • Ability to use a Multimeter on day 1

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
