Union facility (IAM) - Local 218 - Heavy equipment manufacturing facility with casting and extrusion processes.
1.5x pay over 40 hours per week. We offer a 401K match plan and full benefits package.
Additional combined trade and lead rates are available after 90 days of employment.
SUMMARY:
Install, troubleshoot, modify, and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical systems of machinery and equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following and other duties may be assigned:
Prepare sketches that show the location of wiring and equipment;
Plan layout of wiring and install of wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus incl measuring, cut, bend, threading, assembling, installing and pulling;
Splice wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads, twisting or soldering wires together, and applying tape or terminal caps;
LOTO incl capacitor discharge / ground hot stick and verification with medium voltage rated contact meter;
Connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power feeds;
Install control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, circuit-breakers, and starters in control panels;
Connects power cables to equipment, such as electric motor, and installs ground leads;
Tests continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components with testing instruments such as Ohmmeter, Voltmeter, Amp meter, Megger, and high voltage non-contact test equipment;
Observe the functioning of installed equipment to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement;
Diagnose and replace or repair faulty electrical equipment or systems;
Assists production when needed;
Troubleshoot and/or modify programs on all programmable logic-control processors and HMI's;
Maintain version control of all PLC files on server shares;
Provide training and guidance to Electrical Trainees;
Maintain work area to acceptable housekeeping standards;
Quality and productivity standards are expected to be met at all times;
