Job description

The Driver is responsible for assisting customers and other employees with the delivery and installation process. Carries out and assumes an active role in the company by performing the responsibilities and duties for the position under the direction of local area management. Must have experience driving 24' or 26' box truck. Must have a clean MVR. Must pass a background check.

Assists installer with deliveries: app usage, completing app requirements, prepping product for delivery, carrying product in location, maintaining vehicle/truck requirements; May assist in warehouse as needed.

Responsible for the safe driving of the company truck during deliveries.

  • Reports any incidents immediately in accordance with company policy.
  • Assists Customers with understanding delivery process, procedures, and paperwork.
  • Loads and unloads appliances from company truck.
  • Carries appliances safely into customer homes. Respects customer property.
  • Maintains daily schedule and completes route in accordance with delivery schedule.
  • Ensures mandatory phone calls are made to customers and dispatchers in accordance with policy.
  • .•Responsible for vehicle inspections and completes daily vehicle inspection reports.

  • Maintains all equipment in good working order, including vehicle. Routinely cleans vehicle and removes all trash and personal items. Promptly reports any deficiencies to Operations Manager or Safety Manager.
  • Routinely communicates with local office concerning status of deliveries, issues causing delay, weather, etc so that delivery scheduled can be reviewed and customers notified of any variance in the schedule.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
