Job description

JOB TITLE: Technology Specialist - 26-27 School Year ย  SUPERVISOR: Administrator JOB SUMMARY: Provides overall support for all areas of technology including the network.ย  Works with teachers to support the classroom technology use.ย ย 


ย 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Coordinating school-wide tech needs, including (but not limited to) computers, iPads, copiers, and interactive whiteboards for staff and students.
  2. Responding to and solving technology requests within 5 calendar days maximum, and most requests much quicker than that.
  3. Create systems to avoid technology frustrations.
  4. Provide training and support to assist staff and students become effective users of technology in the classroom.
  5. Provide yearly teacher in-service training on various technology skills and instructional strategies for school staff.
  6. Oversee general computer and network maintenance as necessary. Maintain an inventory of hardware and software used throughout the school.
  7. Coordinate technology services and serve as a liaison to technology vendors.
  8. Research and propose cost-saving technology solutions
  9. Support district assessment coordinator during assessment process by preparing devices and troubleshooting as needed.
  10. Maintain staff, student, and parent account access, including Infinite Campus, Google Admin, Clever, and others.
  11. Ensure school website and social media accounts are up to date.
  12. Perform other related duties as assigned by the administrator.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Successful teaching and/or technology coordination experience.
  • Excellent organizational, planning and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge in organizing, planning, supervising, budgeting and evaluating a technology program.
  • Strong background in Apple computer environment, chromebook management, and network administration.
  • Knowledge of media-related technologies such as computers, white board technology, web usage, video production, internet, etc.
  • Knowledge of research and trends in teaching and learning styles as well as teaching and learning strategies to meet a wide range of student learning styles and abilities.
  • Ability to integrate curriculum and technology skills.
  • Ability and willingness to provide leadership in curriculum planning, technology integration, and program development.
  • Ability to work effectively, cooperatively, and collaboratively with staff, students, community, and administration.
