The Apple Ads PMO team is looking for a software engineer who will design and develop scalable systems for the ads engineering organization. We are looking for a results-oriented and versatile engineer who can excel in an Agile environment.
Description
You will support the team responsible for driving fiscal planning, headcount strategy, and vendor management while building the frameworks and dashboards that inform VP-level decisions. In this role, you will:
-Design and develop scalable systems for program and portfolio management
-Partner with EPMs (Engineering Program Managers), finance analysts, product, and engineers to design, develop, and implement solutions, tools, frameworks and components that will enable us to improve operational efficiency.
-Build dashboards and tools that provide real-time insight into spend, staffing, and operational health
-Continuously improve processes to increase predictability and efficiency in how we plan and track work
Success in this role means delivering and maintaining a scalable Program Portfolio Management system, enabling data-driven VP-level decisions, and becoming a trusted technical partner to the PMO team.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong Infrastructure and DevOps containerization experience with Docker
Experience building integrations with large language model (LLM) APIs - AI assistant functionality
Proven experience developing internal tools, automation scripts, and workflow integrations
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years experience in designing and maintaining full-stack web applications using TypeScript, JavaScript, and SQL
BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree/experience
Strong coding skills in Java, Node.js, and React, with backend data store experience in PostgreSQL and Redis
Experience building and maintaining dashboards and backend data processing pipelines
Ability to stay updated on emerging technologies like AI/ML, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and Agentic AI, and apply them to build innovative internal tools
Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross functionally
