Marcom is the creatively-led global team that oversees Apple’s consumer facing marketing. We ensure the flawless development and execution of world-class communications across all medias and platforms. The Marcom Quality Engineering team is seeking a full-stack Software Engineer to turn internal tools into a quality platform-shared services, APIs, and evaluation pipelines-for development, QE, and production. You’ll apply modern AI/ML to expand automated coverage, cut flakiness, and speed CI signal. Our work supports high-visibility launches for millions of customers in 100+ languages.

As a Software Engineer, you’ll contribute to the development and evolution of the quality platform. You'll work within established frameworks to build and extend its components-including orchestration, retrieval mechanisms, evaluation harnesses, and APIs-to help scale quality across the portfolio.","responsibilities":"Contribute to platform services that normalize data from PRs, specs, logs, and test runs to surface signals in a central dashboard.
Support the evolution of the execution layer by contributing to the operation of shared runners with fair queues and hardened images, and by adding observability and repeatable test data to reduce infra flakiness and speed time to signal.
Help codify guardrails by implementing thresholds and Pass or Warn or Block verdicts with lightweight change history.
Deliver end-to-end features from design to launch with disciplined iterations, often collaborating within a team.
Contribute to agentic workflows designed to automate test generation, defect triage, and CI/CD gates.
Assist in integrating LLM and retrieval technologies to power internal QE copilots and PRs or Slack embeds.
Preferred Qualifications
4+ years as a Software Engineer, including 3+ years in automation or platform tooling.
Good understanding of Python for scripting and data processing, and proficiency in TypeScript/Node.js for platform services.
Familiarity with AI/ML techniques for data retrieval and generation (e.g., RAG) and related tools.
Exposure to integrating AI agents, quality policies, and data-driven dashboards into a platform.
Understanding of software design principles including mocking, dependency injection, and distributed systems.
Understanding of CI/CD pipeline architecture and shared execution environments (e.g., Kubernetes or internal schedulers).
Experience with cross-platform automation frameworks (web, native, APIs) and an understanding of techniques to reduce test flakiness and improve signal reliability.
Experience integrating REST and GraphQL services, and an understanding of API design principles.
Familiarity with strategies for creating and managing deterministic test data (e.g., seeding known records, masked subsets, synthetic data).
Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a technical field, or a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
Proficiency in Node.js or Python, with familiarity in the other.
Experience with RESTful/GraphQL APIs and automated testing frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Jest, Selenium, XCUITest).
Experience working with or contributing to shared CI/test infrastructure (e.g., understanding of infra flakiness, queue/start times) or familiarity with CI runner operations (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Harness).
Exposure to or experience contributing to features leveraging AI/ML concepts, particularly with an interest in LLMs for quality improvements.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $220,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
