Job description

Marcom is the creatively-led global team that oversees Apple's consumer facing marketing. We ensure the flawless development and execution of world-class communications across all medias and platforms. Every day, hundreds of millions of Apple customers around the world interact with our products. We drive the strategy and creative work that provide both new and existing customers with simple, engaging and inspiring marketing experiences.
The Marcom Business Affairs team is responsible for securing and managing rights across Apple's global marketing campaigns. The App Clearance function partners with cross-functional creative, legal, and marketing teams to ensure third-party apps and games featured in marketing are fully cleared, legally compliant, and brand-appropriate. This role reports into the Manager, Marcom BA Apps Team and works closely with Apple's Legal, Product Marketing, and Developer Relations groups.
Description
The App Clearance Manager leads the end-to-end rights and clearance process for third-party apps and games used in Apple's global marketing. This role supports Apple's creative, product marketing, and legal teams by ensuring marketing materials meet the highest standards of accuracy, compliance, and creative integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
7+ years of relevant experience in business affairs, content licensing, advertising, entertainment, law, or related industry.
Demonstrated understanding of IP rights, including copyright, trademark, and licensing principles.
Experience identifying and mitigating third-party IP risks in advertising or marketing contexts.
Proven ability to negotiate agreements and exercise strong business and legal judgment.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex legal concepts for creative and non-legal partners.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Apple's products, ecosystem, and App Store platforms.
Knowledge of gaming, software, and entertainment IP landscapes.
Experience with digital asset management or clearance-tracking systems.
Comfort navigating complex creative, legal, and operational environments.
Interest in emerging technologies such as AI and their implications for marketing and business affairs.
