  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to grow Geosyntec’s sediment remediation and waterfront practice.
  • Develop, build and strengthen relationships with key existing and new clients and regulatory agencies to position Geosyntec as a trusted industry leader.
  • Identify and pursue business development opportunities through proposal preparation, client presentations, and industry networking.
  • Oversee and manage complex sediment remediation and waterfront development projects, including site assessment, feasibility studies, remediation design, and implementation.
  • Provide senior technical oversight on contaminated sediment evaluations and develop innovative approaches for site restoration.
  • Manage project and task planning, including budgeting, schedule adherence, quality control, client satisfaction, and profitability.
  • Prepare and implement designs and strategies for sediment and waterfront projects.
  • Develop work plans, evaluate data, and write technical reports for a variety of contaminated sediment and remediation projects.
  • Review and manage written document production to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver client-focused, cost-effective solutions on time and within budget.
  • Mentor, guide, and motivate early- and mid-career staff while managing subcontractors.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for key clients, fostering trust-based, long-term relationships.
  • Represent Geosyntec at industry conferences, professional organizations, and public forums.
  • Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed. 

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil, chemical, or environmental preferred) or geology. (required)
  • Advanced degree the same. (preferred)
  • Professional registration (i.e., PE or PG) (required)

  • At least 10 years (15+ years preferred) of direct environmental consulting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required) 
  • Detailed understanding of CERCLA and other applicable state regulations. (required)
  • Established relationships with clients and regulatory personnel. (required)
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute business development strategies, including winning new clients and obtaining repeat business. (required)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing and client presentations. (required)
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and willingness to travel as needed. (required)
  • Field experience, including oversight of environmental sampling, remediation system implementation, and contractor management. (preferred)
  • Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
