Apparel Clerks are responsible for selling products and providing customer service. Clerks greet customers and guide them in finding products they want to purchase.

Requirements

Essential Functions

  • Maintain and recover assigned sections
  • Perform general stocking duties
  • Gain and maintain knowledge of merchandise
  • Operate tools and equipment safely
  • Perform general cleaning duties
  • Comply with Loss Prevention guidelines
  • Perform fitting room attendant duties
  • Help and assist customers in finding merchandise and providing information
  • Greet and talk politely with customers
  • Comply with supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits, and attitude
  • Function as a team member and get along with others
  • Adhere to daily work schedule
  • Work weekends, any shift, holidays, and overtime as needed
  • Work in a fast-paced environment
  • Perform other duties as needed or assigned

Physical requirements

  • Grasping, bending, twisting, squatting,

  • Push/pull a heavily loaded pallet with a manual pallet jack
  • Push/pull a loaded stock cart
  • Work around animals; fowl, rodents, etc.
  • Work around hay, dust, coal, and other outdoor plant pollens


Education and Experience

A high school diploma or equivalent preferred

Previous industry experience preferred


Age requirement

Minimum age 16
