Job description

About Howler Brothers
We are Howler Brothers. We are not really related by blood. But we are bonded by many shared callings: Surfing, fishing, paddling and the good things that come with these pursuits. Things like fire pits, really good tequila, limes, and pre-dawn coffee. Above all we're united by a belief in doing things the honest and pure way (whish is not usually the easy way). We design and craft all our garments, and everything we make, with these passions and values in mind. We also believe that our team is the driving force behind our success. We are building a cultlure that rewards smart, driven, and fun-loving people. We all work hard - and there is plenty of work to do - but have a ton of fun along the way.
Assistant Retail Manager - Austin South Congress

    • Become an expert on Howler Brothers apparel
    • Assist in training team of retail sales associates
    • Work with corporate Customer Service team on returns, escalated issues, and inventory matters
    • Assist with special events at the shop

    • Oversee scheduling of Outpost employees

Inventory Management
    • Monitor inventory levels and plan for daily/weekly needs

Skills and Experience Required
  • 2+ years of experience in a customer service environment, apparel field a plus.
  • Experience with receiving/inventory management and/or merchandising
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills
  • Detail oriented problem solver capable of making and implementing decisions quickly

A little bit about us. We:
  • Work hard because we love what we're doing, but also appreciate the need for free time
  • Value enthusiasm, willingness, judgment, collaboration and positive energy, often over experience
  • Put our customers' experience with Howler Brothers into every decision
  • Want someone who is both creative & detail oriented
  • Feel that every product, communication and interaction is an opportunity to build our brand
  • Believe that we are building something special and awesome
  • Will offer a competitive compensation & benefits package, challenging projects, fun activities, awesome co-workers & the rare "brotherhood" atmosphere that values individuality
  • Want to hear from you.
