Job description

SNIPES App Product Owner
Bensalem, PA
Hybrid
We live sneakers, streetwear, and neighborhood culture! All Day! Every Day!
With more than 750 stores in Europe and the USA, SNIPES is one of the leading sneaker and streetwear retailers worldwide. Since opening its first store in Essen, Germany in 1998, SNIPES has been an integral part of street culture and is constantly growing thanks to its proximity to the community and regular openings worldwide.
At SNIPES, everything revolves around youth culture. In stores and online at snipes.com and snipesusa.com, our community finds a wide range of internationally renowned sneakers and apparel brands for the latest fits from head to toe. We dive deep into subcultures, sponsor some of the biggest hip-hop festivals, events, and sports teams throughout the world to stay close to our community and keep our deep roots in the global street culture community. Therefore, we work closely with key figures from the scene like DJ Khaled, our Chief Creative Officer. But whether it's sponsorships or developing grassroots projects - we prioritize giving back to the community in everything we do.
SNIPES has always kept an ear to the streets to create a meaningful impact in the communities we serve. Through our community program "SNIPES serves" and its localized approach we support the needs of our communities, empower, and celebrate our dynamic culture.
Overview: Reporting to the Director of Omnichannel Systems, SNIPES is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented App Product Owner to lead our mobile app as a standalone product. The app is a fast-growing share of our ecommerce business, powered in large part by our loyalty program, and this role owns its roadmap, backlog, and day-to-day direction independent of our website. You'll be the single point of ownership when priorities from loyalty, ecommerce, and customer experience compete for app development capacity - exercising strong independent judgment, prioritizing work by business impact, and driving product decisions grounded in customer needs and measurable outcomes.
Responsibilities:
  • Own and prioritize the app product roadmap and backlog - from ideation and requirements through execution
  • Manage our mobile platform vendor relationship day to day - scoping development priorities, contract terms, and build-versus-buy decisions as the app evolves
  • Support the relationship with our loyalty and rewards platform provider, translating program mechanics into app requirements
  • Make and defend scope tradeoffs with stakeholders across digital, loyalty, customer experience, and technology teams, representing the app's priorities in cross-functional planning
  • Drive app features that improve engagement, conversion, retention, and purchase frequency
  • Partner with analytics to measure app performance and make the business case for app investment with data
  • Participate in key Agile ceremonies and coordinate UAT, validating functionality against business requirements
  • Provide clear, proactive updates to stakeholders on progress, risks, and opportunities

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 4-6 years of experience in a product owner, product manager, or business analyst role in retail, eCommerce, or direct-to-consumer digital
  • Demonstrated product ownership experience: backlog management, roadmap prioritization, and resolving competing stakeholder demands
  • Experience managing a vendor or platform partner relationship, including commercial and contract dynamics
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience participating in Agile ceremonies
  • Comfort with app analytics and performance data (e.g., mobile analytics platforms, session-level reporting) to interpret user behavior and inform roadmap decisions
  • Experience owning or supporting a consumer mobile app, including familiarity with app store release and review processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams including UX, engineering, QA, customer service, and loyalty
  • Enough technical fluency to evaluate platform tradeoffs and work credibly with engineering partners, including a general understanding of how app experiences interact with back-end systems such as commerce platforms, OMS, loyalty, or third-party services
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple concurrent priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong strategic prioritization skills: demonstrated ability to evaluate competing requests by business impact, articulate clear "what" and "why" in user stories, and keep focus on end-user needs over technical implementation details

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience with a loyalty or membership program (strongly preferred)
  • Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Office, and/or Lucidchart
  • Experience using analytics tools such as Google Analytics (GA4) or mobile analytics platforms to assess performance and inform prioritization
  • Familiarity with front-end development concepts and UX/UI design principles, including the ability to evaluate wireframes, provide meaningful design feedback, and communicate effectively with designers and engineers

Cultural Success Factors
  • Enthusiasm for the brand
  • Consumer obsessed
  • Ownership mindset
  • Innovative mindset
  • Collaborative nature
  • Skillful communicator
  • Data-driven decision making
  • Adaptable and flexible
  • Disciplined and self-motivated

Benefits with SNIPES
  • Generous Employee Discount
  • Paid Holidays
  • Summer Hours
  • Hybrid work schedule
  • PTO (Paid Time Off)
  • Bonus Plan
  • Affordable Health Insurance
  • Retirement Contributions
