Senior Manager, Product Management - Retail Media Senior Manager, Product Management - Retail Media The Digital Team at 7-Eleven is developing innovative technology to support both our customers and our stores, as well as providing critical Digital Technology support for the 7-Eleven enterprise.

This role is on our Marketing Technology team, focused on building out Retail Media for 7-Eleven – both infrastructures to enable and defining Retail Media for our on-site technologies (e.g., 7-Eleven & 7NOW Application). Product managers define product strategy, develop, launch, and enhance products and services that drive our business forward. You'll work closely with our technology team to define product requirements and coordinate resources from key stakeholders.

You'll also be responsible for identifying and tracking KPIs as you build these experiences. Responsibilities of a Senior Manager, Product Mangement - Retail Media include: Define the long-term strategy for the retail media network for on-site, Digital products, ensuring alignment with broader strategic vision of Gulp Media at 7-Eleven with conjunction with our marketing team.

Define business metrics and KPIs : Establish clear business metrics (in conjunction with marketing) to measure the success of the Digital portion of Retail Media (e.g., ad revenue, campaign effectiveness, user engagement), as well as the technical infrastructure developed to support all of Gulp Media. Set product vision and lead road mapping, goal setting, story writing, project execution, A/B testing, and product roll-out strategy.

Technical Infrastructure, System Integrations (e.g., Ad Ops Tools, Ad Server / Content Management Systems, etc.), & Technical Oversight Identify the most optimal tools to support the needs of Gulp Media Manage Integrations: Oversee the integration of third-party ad servers / CMS platforms, and Ad Ops Tools to enable seamless content and ad management across various channels, as well as any cross-platform integrations required to enable end to end technical infrastructure to support long term Retail Media growth.

Ad inventory management: Ensure that the CMS and ad server are properly configured to handle inventory management, ensuring that ads are dynamically placed on the right products or pages. Ad tech stack management: Oversee the technical architecture for ad serving, ensuring that all integrations with third-party ad servers, content management systems, OMS systems, are scalable, secure, and efficient.

Troubleshooting and optimization: Ensure that the ad server integrations are performing optimally and working with tech pod resolving any issues that arise. Platform scalability: Work with engineering to ensure that the infrastructure can scale as ad traffic and content volumes increase. Product Development Translate business goals and end user needs into product strategy; communicate direction and product priorities to the development team, other matrixed teams, and third-party partners.

Lead & facilitate in-person research - formulate, test and refine assumptions and hypotheses through user research and testing to gain deep customer understanding. Turn customer insights into actionable strategies and priorities. Removes roadblocks and obstacles that may impair product teams to help ensure delivery of the product in order to meet strategic, financial and technical goals.

Receives and prioritizes incoming requests from business partners and stakeholders while keeping in mind the business strategy, product vision and user needs. Provides regular updates to leadership regarding the progress of products within the portfolio Fosters collaboration with team members (Engineering, UX, etc.) to drive value and identify and resolve impediments. Regularly and systematically use data to uncover opportunities, track product performance, and drive decision making.

Conduct Design Thinking, Agile, and LEAN rituals to promote ongoing communication, and iterative refinement of product and roadmap. Ad Product & Monetization Strategy Define and refine in-app ad products: Create and enhance in-app ad formats such as sponsored products, native ads, and in-feed ads, sponsored searches, designed to seamlessly integrate with the retail app's shopping experience.

Optimize in-app ad revenue models: Collaborate with sales and ad operations teams to design and optimize monetization strategies tailored to the retail app, such as cost-per-click (CPC), cost-per-impression (CPM), and cost-per-acquisition (CPA) models, ensuring they align with app user engagement and ad inventory.

Leverage app-specific targeting capabilities: Utilize in-app user behavior and contextual data to deliver highly targeted ads, ensuring that the right products or offers are shown at the right time, based on real-time shopping actions, preferences, and location. Maximize ad inventory utilization: Manage and optimize the available ad space within the app to maximize ad exposure without compromising the app's core user experience, ensuring that ads complement the retail content rather than disrupting it. Innovate with new ad formats: Explore and implement innovative ad formats such as interactive ads, video ads, and shoppable ads within the app, enabling users to engage directly with ads and purchase products without leaving the app.
