Named after founder Ariane Prette, APM Monaco was created in 1982 and made her first mark in producing pieces for many of the great names in the jewelry business. After 30 years of developing and perfecting traditional, handcrafted quality jewelry, in 2001 the Prette family decided to venture into the design-focused silver jewelry business and continues to carry on Ariane’s legacy, with the aim to make APM Monaco a modern, yet timeless brand that fits perfect with current market trends. The brand creativity is unbelievable with a new collection created each month.

The group has over 1200 employees, and has achieved ISO 9001-2000 quality standard, GSCP environmental and BSCI social certifications. The group has a network of 97 single-brand boutiques and 300 official dealers in 14 countries, on all continents.

Job Objective

Assists Store Manager or Store-in-charge in store management and daily operations, including sales, customer service, operations and administration, communication, marketing and merchandising. Ability to assume the responsibilities of the Store Manager or Store-in-charge in his/her absence.

Job Responsibilities

Sales Generation:

Meet personal and store sales goals

  • Collaborate with the store manager to analyze sales reports and data to determine the needs of the business and set business strategies
  • Support the store manager by continuously exercising, motivating and supporting sales staff to meet assigned sales and productivity goals by assessing associate selling techniques and ensuring utilization of elevated levels of service to maximize sales
  • Demonstrate sales leadership for staff by playing an active role on the selling floor

Ensure all sales related policies and procedures are maintained.

  • Collaborate with store manager to identify marketing opportunities to support sales
  • Support the store manager to develop events/incentives that will continue to grow customer base, with particular emphasis on building local market presence

Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the merchandise and develop product knowledge among selling staff.

Maintain a keen interest in the fashion industry and market trends.

Customer Service:

  • Lead by example to ensure the highest level of customer service
  • Manage client database and utilize information to increase sales and client contact
  • Resolve all client problems and complaints quickly and effectively
  • Assist sales associates with various customer service issues i.e. dissatisfied customers, returns, defective merchandise
  • Support store manager with all special events inclusive of collection previews, client events, sale events, etc.
  • Empower associates to make decisions in the customer’s best interest that also support the company’s philosophy

Operations:

  • Ensure facility maintenance, presentation and organization
  • Ensure cash control procedures are properly followed including: bank deposits, safe funds and petty cash
  • Support the store manager to control store expenses and maintain budgets, continually striving to reduce costs
  • Ensure deliveries are properly processed in a timely manner
  • Monitor the movement of all inventory and ensure that staff adheres to all transferring/ receiving policies and procedures
  • Support store manager to ensure staff is trained in all areas of appropriate POS usage and maintenance
  • Understand and properly execute all management POS functions
  • Support, promote and assume responsibility for loss prevention in all areas of risk management, physical security, store cash controls, inventory management, inter-store communication
  • Build and maintain good communication with members of corporate office and other stores
  • Participate in store inventories

Merchandising/Visual:

  • Implement and maintain all merchandising directives and ensure execution of effective merchandising strategies
  • Ensure the selling floor is neat, clean, organized and reflects the correct visual guidelines at all times
  • Ensure presentation of all displays, fixtures and all visual areas are reflective of current visual direction
  • Identify and communicate product concerns in a timely manner
  • Communicate inventory needs to support the business goal

Human Resources:

  • Support store manager in executing all training programs, seminars, etc.
  • Continually evaluate the performance of each associate and provide constant feedback to ensure results
  • Ensuring integrity of payroll and the payroll process
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent organizational skills
  • Ensure image and grooming standards are professional, reflective of the brand image and adhered to at all times

Desired Skills/Experience:

Minimum 2 years retail sales experience with 1 year in supervisor role.

  • Established client relationships with sales history
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software including Work, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Ability to analyze selling reports and react quickly to the business trends
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent organizational skills
  • Flexibility to work a retail schedule, which includes evening, weekends and holidays
  • Entrepreneurial drive
