*MuleSoft Version 4 experience needed(moving from 3.9-4)****

*Mulesoft Certification not needed if they have over 5 years ofexperience- 3 Years of MuleSoft with Cert acceptable****

*The role will be 20% Requirements gathering and 80% Hands onDevelopment***

Summary:

• NYU IT is looking for an Senior API/Mulesoft Developer to join aninnovative team responsible for designing and implementing API solutions andstrategy.

• This individual will be involved and will participate in allaspects of the API development lifecycle from, helping gather requirements,designing features, triaging/troubleshooting issues, to code reviewing andmentoring.

Primary job duties for the position:

• Produces high-quality API code that is documented, tested,code-reviewed, and checked-in regularly for continuous integration.

• Manages integration activities throughout the entire APIdevelopment lifecycle.

• Collaborates with business stakeholders and analyzes userrequirements to create data solutions (via APIs) based on requirementsgathered.

• Communicates, coordinates, and escalates issues in order to seekresolution. Provides accurate and timely status updates to team lead and uppermanagement, escalating roadblocks as necessary.

Required Education:

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, orElectrical Engineering or related field.

Required Experience:

• 8+ years of hands-on development experience with JAVA, J2EE(Spring) and REST/SOAP Web Services.

• 3+ years of hands-on development experience working with APIs andAPI Gateway product. Building API Proxies and API Policies.

• MulesoftCertified Developer or 5+ years of hands-on Mulesoft experience.

• Experiencewith Mulesoft v4 (currently moving from v3.9 to 4).

• Experience connecting applications in the Cloud with API servicesand data stores on-prem and exposure to solutions like AWS-EC2/S3/DirectConnect etc.

• Experience with OpenAPI (Swagger) specifications and RAML/YAML.

• Experience designing integrations solutions moving data sets ofall sizes connecting File Systems, OLTP, OLAP, Data Lakes, No SQL & Big Dataenvironments using batch, request/response & real-time streaming paradigms.Prior experience designing integration data hubs is a plus.

• Must have experience with DevOps culture and tools such as Gitlaband Jenkins for CI/CD.

• Unix Shell scripting experience will be a big plus.

• Ability to write automated tests for APIs.
