Job description

Genesis10 is currently seeking an API Developer for a contract position with a Major Healthcare Company located in Eagan, MN. This is a 6 month contract opportunity. This position is hybrid. Compensation: $62.60 - $72.60 per hour, W2, based on qualifications Position Overview: The selected candidate will build and support backend services that enable digital interoperability between healthcare systems. This role focuses heavily on Java-based API development within a cloud-native AWS environment to help meet CMS mandates for digital data exchange between payers, providers, and patients. Experience with FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) is highly beneficial. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop backend APIs and integration services Build and maintain services using Java with supporting JavaScript/TypeScript as needed Deploy and support services in an AWS environment Collaborate with Solution Architects and BSAs to clarify requirements Proactively seek information when documentation is incomplete Participate in Agile ceremonies and peer code reviews Primary Requirements: FHIR experience Strong Java backend development experience API development and integration experience Familiarity with AWS cloud services Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams Ability to work independently and problem-solve proactively Desired Skills: Healthcare integration experience Experience with CI/CD pipelines and API security Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
