For the first time in history, this influx of payload companies combined with reduced launch costs has resulted in a massive increase in need for commercial spacecraft platforms, known as satellite buses. These buses hold the payloads of our customers and are flown on launch vehicles.

About the Role
Apex is seeking a Supervisor, Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable with a focus on revenue accounting for complex satellite bus programs and related service/integration deliverables. Reporting to the Director of Accounting, this role will be responsible for accurate and timely revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606, across both point-in-time (e.g., hardware delivery) and percentage-of-completion (e.g., study/service contracts) arrangements. You'll also support core month-end close activities, ensuring proper treatment of unbilled revenue, deferred revenue, contract assets, and related reconciliations. This role offers high visibility across sales, operations, and engineering, and is ideal for someone excited about working at the frontier of aerospace while helping scale our revenue function from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
โ€ข Oversee full-cycle AP and AR operations including billing, collections, and vendor/customer communication
โ€ข Manage vendor onboarding, payment terms, W-9 documentation, and customer invoicing workflows
โ€ข Partner cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Mission Services, and Finance to resolve billing, PO, and payment discrepancies
โ€ข Monitor AP aging, AR aging, cash disbursements, and collections activity to ensure timely processing and strong cash flow management
โ€ข Support month-end close activities including reconciliations, accruals, account analysis,
โ€ข Help strengthen internal controls, documentation, and segregation of duties across accounting operations for annual audit support
โ€ข Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and scalable workflows to support company growth and increased transaction volume
โ€ข Help train and support future AP/AR Analysts while contributing to a high-accountability, process-oriented accounting culture
What You Bring
Must-Have:
โ€ข 5+ years of AP and/or AR experience
โ€ข Experience overseeing full-cycle AP and AR workflows in a high-volume environment
โ€ข Experience working within manufacturing, aerospace, hardware, or inventory-driven environments preferred
โ€ข Strong process improvement mindset with experience helping scale accounting operations
โ€ข Experience with modern accounting and finance tools such as Ramp, Campfire, NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar systems
โ€ข Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
Nice-to-Have:
โ€ข Start-up experience or experience in high growth environments
โ€ข Experience in aerospace, hardware, or manufacturing environments
