Job description

Who we Are
Oncourse Home Solutions, also operated as American Water Resources, is a trusted home protection provider helping homeowners across the country protect what matters most. We are a $500 million organization backed by private equity firm Apax Partners, serving 2 million customers across 43 states. We partner with 25+ utilities and municipalities (and growing!) to provide customized solutions tailored to any community - delivering real value where people live. We help homeowners protect the essential systems that keep their homes running - from HVAC, appliances, and electrical to water, sewer, gas lines, and more - so they can avoid the stress and financial impact of unexpected repairs. Our work helps homeowners stay safe, comfortable, and confident in their homes every day.
At Oncourse, our people are what makes that possible. We call ourselves SUPERs - Successful, United, Progressive, Empathetic, and Reliable - because that's how we show up for our customers and for each other. We invest in our employees through competitive benefits, an inclusive culture, and employee-led resource groups that strengthen connection, community, and belonging across the company.
As an equal opportunity employer, our employment decisions are based on business needs, job requirements and individual qualifications without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, ancestry, marital status, parental status, mental or physical disability, military or veteran status, or any other basis protected by federal, state, or local law. Oncourse Home Solutions is committed to recruiting and retaining talented applicants and to providing all employees with a workplace free from discrimination and/or harassment.
Position Summary
At Oncourse Home Solutions (OHS), our Contact Center Sales Agents drive our revenue growth and deliver standout customer experiences. As the voice of our brand, you'll sell home warranty and energy-related products on inbound and outbound calls, helping homeowners protect what matters most while you build a real sales career. This is a fully in-office role in our Naperville, IL location, with a Monday through Friday schedule and no nights or weekends. Our collaborative, energetic office is a key part of our culture and success.
We're hiring immediately, and this isn't your typical call center sales role. Your base pay is $17.25/hour (+$2/hour for Spanish-speaking candidates), plus uncapped commission. **Representatives who hit goal earn roughly $1,200 per month in commission, bringing total earnings to about $24-$25/hour at target, and top performers earn more. ** To set you up for success, a commission floor protects your pay during your first three months (post training) while you ramp up.
Why Join OHS?
  • A supportive, energetic team culture that celebrates wins.
  • Be part of a team that values service excellence and long-term customer relationships.
  • Work alongside engaged teammates who value teamwork and accountability.
  • Clear career growth in a rapidly expanding company, plus recognition programs and ongoing development.
  • Join a workplace with fun town halls, real recognition, and EBRGs that make you feel part of something bigger.

Compensation, Schedule and Training
  • Base pay: $17.25/hour, or $17.25 + $2/hour for Spanish-speaking candidates.
  • Uncapped commission paid monthly. Representatives who hit goal earn approximately $1,200/month in commission, bringing total earnings to about $24 to $25/hour at target. Actual earnings vary with individual performance.
  • A commission floor (post training) for your first three months, so your pay is protected while you ramp up.
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM.
  • Paid training: 7 weeks, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
  • Fully onsite at our Naperville, IL office.

Commission Ramp Support
We provide a temporary commission floor during your first three months to support your ramp-up, in addition to base pay. Eligibility is contingent on meeting defined performance KPIs (e.g., attendance, productivity, sales activity). If expectations are met, you'll earn the greater of your actual commission or the monthly floor. If KPIs are not met, the floor does not apply. This support ends after Month 3, after which earnings are fully commission-based.
What You'll Do
Sales & Customer Engagement
  • Sell home warranty, protection plans, and energy-related services to new and existing customers on inbound and outbound calls.
  • Identify customer needs and confidently recommend products that deliver clear value.
  • Consistently meet and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
  • Apply proven sales techniques: upselling, cross-selling, outbound selling, and objection handling.

Customer Experience & Operations

  • Accurately document customer interactions, sales details, and follow-ups in our CRM.
  • Navigate multiple systems quickly while maintaining accuracy and strong attention to detail.

  • High energy, resilient, and motivated by earning commission.
  • Strong verbal, written, and digital communication skills.
  • Comfortable following sales scripts, product guidelines, and structured workflows while keeping a natural, customer-focused selling style.
  • Able to multitask with accuracy and professionalism, and to adapt quickly to coaching and changing priorities.

  • Call center sales experience with service plans, home warranty products, or subscription-based offerings.
  • Contact center experience in a high-volume setting.
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems, home warranty products, or utility services.
  • Bilingual (Spanish).

  • A track record of exceeding quotas in performance-driven environments.

Education:
  • Associates, High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience required.

Computer Skills for the role:
