Job Description

We are hiring a Groundskeeper to work onsite at our Emory Point apartment community in Atlanta, GA.

Expected hourly rate of {{HOURLY_PAY_RANGE}} per hour. You will be provided a pay rate that is in line with your skills and experience as they relate to the requirements of the job.

We're looking for a dependable, hardworking Porter / Groundskeeper who takes pride in maintaining a clean, welcoming apartment community. This role is ideal for someone who values consistency, enjoys working outdoors, and wants a long-term position with a company that promotes from within.

A bit more about what you'll do...

Community Appearance & Grounds

  • Maintain the cleanliness and curb appeal of the apartment community, including walkways, parking areas, common spaces, and amenities
  • Pick up litter, sweep, blow, and pressure wash as needed
  • Empty trash receptacles and assist with dumpster area upkeep
  • Monitor the community daily and report maintenance or safety issues

Light Maintenance Support

  • Assist the maintenance team with basic tasks such as changing light bulbs, replacing signage, and minor repairs
  • Help prepare apartments for move-ins, including basic cleaning and trash removal
  • Support seasonal projects and community upkeep initiatives

Team & Resident Interaction

  • Work closely with the on-site maintenance and management teams
  • Provide friendly, professional interactions with residents and vendors
  • Take pride in being a visible part of the community and representing the property well
Qualifications

What We're Looking For
Experience & Reliability

  • Prior experience as a porter, groundskeeper, janitor, or maintenance assistant preferred
  • Strong job tenure and a track record of reliability and attendance
  • Ability to work independently and stay productive without constant supervision
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions

Skills & Work Ethic

  • Strong attention to detail and pride in doing quality work
  • Physically able to walk the property, lift up to 50 lbs, bend, and stand for extended periods
  • Willingness to learn basic maintenance skills and grow within the role
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
