What You'll Do as an Apartment Make Ready:
  • Prepare and restore vacant apartments for new resident move-ins
  • Perform minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance and repairs
  • Repair or service items such as sinks, showers, appliances, cabinets, doors, and fixtures
  • Change bulbs; replace light fixtures, switches, outlets, and damaged hardware
  • Inspect locks, keys, and weather stripping; re-key or repair as needed
  • Complete interior and exterior painting and caulking
  • Perform light drywall repairs including patching, texturing, sanding and finishing
  • Assist with grounds upkeep including trash pickup, blowing breezeways, pressure washing, and maintaining clean common areas
  • Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure timely unit turn completion
  • Uphold safety, quality, and cleanliness standards throughout the community

What We're Looking for in the Apartment Make Ready Technician:
  • Prior apartment make ready experience REQUIRED
  • Basic carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and construction repair abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • A personal set of basic hand tools
  • The ability to lift 40-50 lbs
  • Dependability, strong work ethic, and a positive attitude
  • Important: Candidates must live within a 20-mile radius of the property or be willing to relocate.

Working Environment:
This role requires regular physical activity, including standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and carrying items as part of daily porter responsibilities. Team members must be able to lift up to 50 lbs individually and up to 100 lbs with assistance. Work is performed both indoors and within community common areas.
All employees must comply with the company's uniform policy, provided on the first day of employment.
