Cottonwood Residential is hiring! We are looking for an Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team at Pavilions Apartments in Albuquerque, NM. We are offering a $500 sign-on bonus for this role, payable after 60 days of employment. Apply today!

About the Role

The Apartment Maintenance Technician is a maintenance professional responsible for supporting the day-to-day repair and upkeep of the community. This role performs basic maintenance tasks in occupied and vacant apartment homes while ensuring the overall cleanliness and functionality of the property. Working under the direction of the Service Manager, this position is ideal for someone looking to grow their career in property maintenance. Success in this role comes from a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering timely, high-quality service to residents.

Qualifications & Required Experience of an Apartment Maintenance Technician

  • Considerable HVAC troubleshooting experience is preferred.
  • EPA certification Type II or Universal is a plus.
  • CPO certification is a plus.
  • Valid Driver's License is required.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English to communicate with customers, process Company paperwork, and interpret safety and operating manuals and procedures.
  • Must be able to move, carry, reposition, or lift items weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to climb stairs, ladders, scaffolds, and ability to navigate elevation changes while maintaining balance
  • Frequent need to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, push/pull, and ability to navigate difficult terrain and access small areas
  • Ability to work standard community hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to work as an on-call technician and provide after-hours emergency service with the support of the Service Manager while following Company standards.
  • Perform repairs that may include, but are not limited to, plumbing, electrical work, and general carpentry work related to household, building, and property grounds repairs.
