Job description

Classic Volkswagen of Gastonia is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Automotive Dealership AP & AR Specialist to join our accounting team in Gastonia, NC. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial transactions to support the dealership’s operations.

Responsibilities
  • Process, verify, and code vendor invoices and payments accurately and timely
  • Manage billing and collections for customer accounts, ensuring timely payments and resolving any discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
  • Reconcile vendor statements and customer accounts regularly
  • Prepare and process monthly statements and aging reports
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing and payment issues
  • Assist with month-end close and financial reporting as needed
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures related to financial transactions
Requirements
  • Previous experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable, preferably in an automotive dealership or related industry
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
