You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex aircraft systems under time-sensitive conditions while upholding the highest standards of safety, compliance, and quality. Candidates may be based in Nashville and work from the base with travel as needed, or live anywhere within the continental United States and travel from their home base.
Responsibilities
- Ensure safety and regulatory compliance remain the top priority in all maintenance activities.
- Maintain and repair aircraft, aircraft engines, and components in accordance with applicable specifications, manuals, and procedures.
- Perform in-process inspections on aircraft components as required to verify airworthiness and quality.
- Document all maintenance procedures accurately, including descriptions of component damage, component origin, and the condition of components or equipment.
- Carry out daily scheduled and unscheduled inspections, maintenance, repairs, and alterations on aircraft.
- Troubleshoot defective aircraft systems and components efficiently to identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions.
- Respond to AOG events by traveling to domestic locations and performing on-site maintenance to return aircraft to service as quickly and safely as possible.
- Support the broader operation when there is no active AOG aircraft, including providing outstation coverage and assisting other mechanics with routine maintenance.
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned or required to support maintenance operations.
- Work long shifts, including up to 16-hour days when necessary, to meet operational demands and minimize aircraft downtime.
- Collaborate with other technicians, maintenance control, and operations personnel to ensure effective communication and coordination during AOG events and routine work.
Essential Skills
- Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification.
- A minimum of 5+ years of line maintenance experience.
- Proven ability to perform line maintenance on transport-category aircraft in a time-sensitive environment.
- Experience with AOG maintenance or fleet maintenance on ERJ, CRJ, or Challenger aircraft.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for complex aircraft systems and components.
- Ability to travel frequently and work 7โ10 days in a row as operational needs require.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, compliance, and high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to work long shifts, including up to 16-hour days when required.
- Strong attention to detail with accurate documentation and recordkeeping skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in an on-call, dynamic environment with short-notice travel.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Previous dedicated AOG maintenance experience is highly beneficial.
- Fleet maintenance experience across multiple aircraft types is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently in remote locations with limited supervision.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with operations, dispatch, and other maintenance personnel.
- Accountability and reliability, with a track record of consistently showing up prepared and ready to work.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and skill development.
Why Work Here?
You will join a growing aviation organization that is actively expanding both airline and charter operations, including recent fleet growth with additional aircraft. The company invests heavily in training and professional development, placing strong value on accountability and showing up for the team. There are clear opportunities for advancement, with leadership roles historically filled by individuals who started in hands-on technical positions. You will benefit from a culture that supports growth, recognizes dedication, and offers the chance to build a long-term career in a dynamic, expanding operation.
Work Environment
This role operates in a highly mobile, field-based environment. If you are local to the Nashville area, you may work from the base and travel as needed; otherwise, you will be home-based and travel from your residence to AOG events and remote bases. The schedule is currently structured around extended rotations, with a 7-on/7-off pattern transitioning to a 10-on/10-off schedule. Work often takes place at airports and remote outstations, sometimes under time pressure and varying weather conditions. You will travel frequently to domestic locations such as Quincy (IL), Burlington (IA), Eldorado (AR), Carlsbad (NM), Show Low (AZ), Dallas (TX), and other bases as needed. The environment is fast-paced and on-call, requiring flexibility for short-notice travel and long shifts to support operational demands and minimize aircraft downtime.
