Position - AOG Technician (All Areas)

As an AOG Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our clients' aircraft. With our expertise in AOG maintenance, scheduled maintenance, structural repairs, and non-destructive testing (NDT), we are committed to delivering exceptional service.
Job Description:
This position serves as an Aircraft-On-Ground (AOG) A amp;P for Velocity Maintenance. Technicians will be responsible for completing time-sensitive aircraft repairs with safe execution of all maintenance tasks while working with minimal supervision. This position consists of traveling domestically and occasional international travel. The AOG position requires a flexible on-call schedule, rapid response ability and most importantly a positive attitude.
Responsibilities
  • Perform AOG maintenance on a variety of corporate and general aviation aircraft.
  • A good working knowledge of Company requirements associated with aircraft. maintenance and health amp; safety.
  • Good team working abilities.
  • Accurately complete all maintenance, work order, and RTS paperwork.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Velocity work order system.
  • Adhere to Velocity Maintenance Solution’s policies and procedures, as well as manufacturer's maintenance manuals and FAA regulations, to ensure compliance with assigned maintenance work scope.
  • Identify and document maintenance discrepancies, taking prompt corrective actions as required.
  • Provide detailed reports on work progression and open items to be included in the shift turnover log.
Job Requirements
  • Direct involvement with FAR 135 and/or 145 policies and procedures.
  • The ability to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications.
  • Working knowledge of FAA regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe.
  • Ability to understand and interpret aircraft technical data.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both oral and written.
  • Strong teamwork abilities to achieve established goals.
  • Flexibility to work on rotating shifts, including nights, holidays, weekends, and days off.
Physical Requirements
  • Willingness to work on elevated platforms (up to 40 feet in the air) using fall protection safety gear.
  • Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods while performing repairs.
  • Physical ability to perform climbing, stooping, stretching, walking, standing for extended periods, and lifting up to 70 pounds.
  • Proficiency in operating basic hand tools and ground equipment.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces.
Non-Physical Requirements
  • Aptitude for learning and utilizing technical manuals.
  • Strong mechanical skills and effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting maintenance, wiring, and illustrated parts manuals.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication with colleagues and customers.
  • Ability to perform repairs effectively and quickly in short notice, high-pressure situations.
  • Competence in inputting and retrieving information from computers.
  • Experience with Microsoft products, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel spreadsheets.
  • Willingness to travel to various locations, regardless of weather conditions, for repair work.
  • Capability to work independently with minimal/no supervision.
Education and Experience
  • Airframe and Powerplant License Required.
  • Minimum of 5+ years aircraft maintenance experience required.
  • Previous Corporate Aviation is preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Candidates for this position will have a minimum of 5 years of experience providing maintenance on one of the following aircraft:

  • Hawker 800/900
  • Dassault Falcon
  • Gulfstreams
  • Bombardier Global 5000/6000
