Job description

Job Title: Registered Nurse (ER & ICU)

Location: Kealakekua, Hawaii

Pay Rate: $ 2300 to $2520 /Week

Contract: 13 Weeks

Schedule: 12-Hour Evening & Night Shifts 

Experience: Minimum 2 Years Required

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Critical Care Float Pool Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract at Kona Community Hospital. This position requires recent Emergency Room and ICU experience and the flexibility to support multiple acute care units while delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care for Emergency Department and ICU patients.

  • Float to other nursing units to assist with patient care, transport, telemetry monitoring, and unit support as needed.

  • Participate as a member of the Rapid Response and Code Blue teams.

  • Administer medications, monitor critically ill patients, and document care using EPIC.

  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) License required.

  • Minimum 2 years of recent ER and ICU experience (both are mandatory).

  • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS Certifications required.

  • Experience with EPIC EMR preferred.

  • Must be flexible to work 12-hour evening and night shifts, holidays, and float as needed.
