Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor wastewater treatment equipment, including pumps, tanks, filters, clarifiers, and chemical feed systems.
- Perform routine wastewater sampling, testing, and analysis to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
- Monitor and adjust chemical treatment processes to maintain proper pH levels and remove heavy metals and other contaminants generated from metal plating operations.
- Collect, record, and maintain accurate operational data, laboratory results, and regulatory documentation.
- Conduct routine inspections of treatment equipment and systems to identify maintenance needs and operational issues.
- Assist with preventive maintenance and minor repairs of wastewater treatment equipment.
- Manage the handling, storage, and disposal of treatment sludge and other regulated waste materials.

- Work closely with production personnel to minimize wastewater generation and improve treatment efficiency.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in industrial wastewater treatment, water treatment, environmental services, chemical processing, or a related field preferred.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably metal finishing, electroplating, anodizing, or chemical processing operations.
- Basic knowledge of wastewater treatment principles, chemistry, and environmental regulations.
- Ability to perform laboratory testing and maintain accurate records.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, operating procedures, and safety documents.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications for reporting and data entry.
