Job description

General Summary 

LAIKA is a world-renowned stopmotion animation studio known for groundbreaking storytelling and technical innovation. We are seeking a Sr Apple Systems Engineer to join our Support Engineering team to help design, support, and evolve the technology services and infrastructure that power our teams. 

The SrAppleSystems Engineer leads the development and operation of LAIKA's systems and related management infrastructure. This position works collaboratively with artists and technicians to develop standards, test new configurations and applications, and ensure all systems function in a consistent and reliable manner. 

Job Functions 
  • Design, develop, andoperateenterprise management systems for desktop and mobile devices.
  • Develop processes for testing and deploying new products and operating systems.
  • Create and manage Apple enterprise device policies.
  • Lead the creation and implementation ofApple management best practices.
  • Integrate Apple systems with enterprise network, storage, and data protection systems.
  • Act as thefinal pointof escalation for Apple related issues and initiatives.
  • Lead the effort to integrate Apple systems into CI/CD platforms.
  • Develop and report on metrics related to Apple systems management.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot technical production issues asrequired.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship tojuniorengineersandsystem administrators. 
Qualifications 
  • 5+ years' experience in enterprise systems engineering with a focus on Apple systems.
  • Demonstrated experience with scripting languages (Python or Ruby, preferred) and systems configuration management tools,Jamf300 certification,orequivalent experience.
  • Advanced experience integrating desktop systems with enterprise infrastructure including network, IAM, SSO, and storage systems (e.g.,Qumuloand Isilon).
  • Experience with project management, Kanban, Scrum, and related methodologies.
  • Well organized with strong planning, problem solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently, and to provide leadership in large or cross-team efforts.
  • Strong communicationand presentation skills.
  • Able to effectively manage shifting prioritieswithintight deadlines while fostering positive working relationships.

Location

On-Site in Hillsboro, OR, and eligible for hybrid work.
