What You Will Be Doing:
We are recruiting for a Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be focusing on front and back end development working on our custom built data storage engine and platform. This product is the heart of the CrashPlan business and involves working with code that processes Petabytes of data every day.
Day In The Life:
  • Designing and implementing code for assigned projects, both independently and with teammates, taking into account needs for monitoring, supportability, and testability
  • Writing unit and integration tests for your team's code
  • Testing, debugging, and troubleshooting all across the CrashPlan technology stack
  • Documenting code and design, and reviewing code and design docs from others
  • Demoing progress on team deliverables
  • Participating in story mapping and sizing sessions for small to medium-size product features
  • Synthesizing requirements into cohesive designs, identifying gaps and contradictions
  • Collaborating with the UX team by providing feedback on designs, accessibility, and performance

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline and/or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience working in a similar role, including experience with object oriented development, testing frameworks used in JVM development platforms, and/or experience with data repository technologies
  • Experience working with Java and/or Kotlin, JavaScript, and Typescript
  • Experience working with React, Angular or Vue.js web frameworks
  • Demonstrated experience with continuous integration and deployment (CICD) concepts

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Programing experience with Python, go, or C#
  • Experience with CSS Preprocessors: Styled Components, Sass/Less
  • Experience with tools: Webpack, Jest, Cypress
  • Experience with AWS services
  • Experience with GitHub, and Atlassian Cloud Products
  • Worked and/or contributed to open-source software
  • Experience with AI tools such as Claude, Junie, or OpenAI

The base pay compensation range for this role is listed below. This position is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance in addition to a full range of benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k match, and more. Final compensation will be dependent on various factors relevant to the position and the candidate such as geographical location, candidate qualifications, certifications, relevant job-related work experience, education, skillset and other relevant business and organizational factors, consistent with applicable law. This information is provided per the relevant state and local pay transparency laws for the location in which this position will be performed.

$105,000-$120,000 USD
