Job description

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Multimedia Producer in Alexandria, VA. Qualified candidates must have an active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
Responsibilities:
• Provide on-site multimedia expertise to produce images, videos, animations, and interactive experiences that train, educate, and engage demanding audiences and decision-makers.
• Design and produce high-quality 2D and 3D multimedia products - including images, animations, motion graphics, narrative-driven video products, interactive visualizations, and real-time experiences - that communicate complex information clearly and persuasively.
• Collaborate closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to develop an understanding of complex concepts, and translate that understanding into accurate, compelling visual narratives.
• Lead the production lifecycle for multimedia deliverables, from initial concept through asset creation, iteration with stakeholders, and final delivery - ensuring products meet both technical standards and audience requirements.
• Create and edit 3D assets for use in pre-rendered and real-time workflows, and composition into 2D design.
• Develop interactive experiences using Unity game engine, transforming ingested data into real-time visual products that support briefings and analysis.
• Collaborate with game engine developers to develop technically optimized and visually compelling features to aid in presentation, and interactivity of data visualization.
• Stay current with emerging tools, techniques, and best practices in multimedia production and interactive visualization to continuously improve quality of deliverables.
Required Qualifications:
• Strong portfolio showcasing finished, rendered projects that display technical skill and artistic vision are essential.
• 5 years of experience developing engaging visual narratives using multiple graphic disciplines, including asset creation, animation, video editing, compositing, and delivery across multiple formats and platforms.
• 5 years of experience with industry standard 2D and 3D authoring tools - Blender, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects), or equivalents.
• Experience with audio mixing and sound design fundamentals within a video editing context, supporting the production of self-contained multimedia deliverables.
• Experience working with Unity game engine to develop real-time interactive experiences, with ability to build, optimize, and deploy projects.
• Strong combination of software proficiency, creative problem-solving, and production discipline, with a track record of delivering high-quality multimedia content that balances visual quality with technical performance to meet customer objectives.
• Proven communication skills - written and verbal.
• Ability to work in collaborative environment, receiving, and implementing feedback, with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Adept at troubleshooting and resolving technical and creative bottlenecks efficiently.
Desired Skills:
• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous creative environments, independently developing and proposing visual concepts that anticipate customer needs and objectives.
• Developing knowledge of scripting within Unity using C#.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Experience creating user interface systems within Unity that balance visual polish with technical performance.
• Utilization of game engine asset optimization techniques to support performant real-time deliverables.
• Experience working with external data sources to drive visual content in animation and/or game engine software.
Education Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree: 3D Digital Design/Visualization, 3D Art & Animation, Digital Arts & Design, Game Art, Interactive Media, Immersive Media Design; OR possess certificates in related fields.
Travel Requirements:
• This position requires the ability to report to the customer site upon request, but most of the work will be performed at our Alexandria Headquarters and some flexibility to Work-from-Home.
Clearance Requirements:
• Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required.
The pay range for this position is $100,000 to $145,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors. MTSI also offers a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
