Sonac of Maquoketa, IA is seeking to hire a full-time Manufacturing Production Operator Nights.

You'll start out earning $18.00/hour and if you work 2nd or 3rd shift, you'll make $19.25/hour. And if you work a weekend shift, you make $22.25/hr. on Saturday and $25.25/hr. on Sunday!

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Operate various separating, drying, and/or bagging equipment.
  • Operate equipment and Dryers to the require efficiency.
  • Monitor equipment and process to accomplish process.
  • Follow production standard operating procedures (SOP's) as instructed.
  • Respond to process upsets and alarms appropriately.
  • Assures equipment and work area is clean after each shift.
  • Responsible for TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) in appropriate areas.
  • Participate in monthly training sessions for Safety, Quality & Food Defense.
  • Maintain safety as top priority in accordance with all company safety rules and regulations.
  • Participate in Lean Manufacturing Training and partake in Internal Audits.
  • As trained, be aware of and responsible for their role in Darling's food safety program.
  • SHIFTS are either 4pm-Midnight, or Midnight-8am
  • All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or G.E.D. (technical school degree is desirable).
  • Weekend work is required (generous pay differential provided for weekend work).
  • Manufacturing, industrial, or agricultural experience preferred.

Preferred Experience:

  • 1-3 years industrial experience a plus.
  • Some knowledge of mechanical and process equipment.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and skilled in safe operating of equipment.
  • Ability to deal with minor problems involving equipment or various situations.
  • Works well with others in a team environment.
