Veterinarian Position on TN Visa

Great opportunity for veterinarians interested in working in the U.S. on a TN Visa. Only citizens of Canada and Mexico are eligible for the TN Visa program. Job Duties:

  • Apply complex theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of animal breeding to develop improved programs to improve the genetic composition and reproductive health of our animals to maximize animal reproductive potential and capacity.
  • Oversees and implements effective animal breeding protocols
  • Ensures that proper protocols are followed during difficult calving and feeding of newborn calves
  • Implements improved programs in areas such as sick/pregnant cow treatment, calving, and animal nutrition
  • Manages feed intake in the maternity area
  • Monitors overall herd health
  • Performs related professional duties
  • Transport newborn baby calves to the calf hutch barn
  • Maintain accurate records of new fresh cows and calves
  • Inventory supplies in the maternity area
  • Processing, vaccinating, and pregnancy-checking new heifers as they arrive
  • Feeding and processing newborn calves
  • Communicate with the manager on problems that need to be resolved
  • Respect and work with others that work in the maternity area
  • Operate machinery such as a skid-steer loader, Mensch scraper, and John Deere gator
