We are looking for a technician who is friendly, caring, and dedicated to our small animal practice. This full-time position requires proficient skills such as pet restraint, pedicures, anal sac expression, ear cleaning, bathing, blood draws, intravenous catheter placement, anesthesia/surgical preparation, and recovery patient monitoring; dental cleaning and radiography; an in-house laboratory; maintaining and using in-house laboratory machines; the ability to perform cytology (skin and ear), urinalysis, and skin scraping; and cleaning and packing surgical instruments. The candidate must have strong communication skills, including the ability to go over a treatment plan, surgical discharge, and medications prescribed and express genuine concern and care for the clients and their pets. Working as a veterinary technician requires at least three years of experience. Certification is both eligible and beneficial. Competitive pay and benefits are available for a suitable candidate.
