Position Purpose
Responsible for the concept development and execution of top-quality and engaging visual creative for Petco's brand, product and educational pieces with an emphasis on social media.
Essential Job Functions
Working from Content & Social strategy team briefs, develop creative strategy and plans for graphic and animated assets to be deployed within social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, Twitter, Youtube) website articles and other brand outlets. Design engaging, social-first creative that aligns to brand standards and social strategy Research emerging social and creative trends and ideas to ensure campaigns are consistently driving results Conduct design testing to develop templatized creative for social team use Communicate creative learnings and insights to broader creative and strategy teams Maintain organization and own uploading process of all materials Other duties may arise and be assigned as needed

Perform additional duties, tasks and responsibilities as required, assigned or directed.
Nature of Supervision
This position reports directly to the Manager, Social & Content Production. The incumbent oversees and makes significant day-to-day decisions concerning the creation of designs and assets aligning to both Enterprise brand standards and social and content best practices.
Planning and Problem Solving
Collaborate with partners within various functional groups, including Social & Content Strategy team, Integrated Marketing and Brand Creative teams.
Impact
The Social Content Creator will strengthen and grow relationships with key stakeholders through excellent and constant communication and strong organizational skills.
Supervisory Responsibility
None.
Education/Experience:
  • 5+ years consumer marketing and digital media experience within in-house or agency setting
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Strong understanding of social media best practices by platform.
  • Video/animation editing skills
  • Ability to consistently meet and exceed content obligations, expectations and deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, utilize resources, identify and address challenges that may arise.

Work Environment
The majority of tasks are performed while seated indoors at a computer terminal in an office environment with no exposure to hazards. There may be occasional travel to photo & video shoots to ensure creative is being captured in a way that will deliver against strategic concepts.
