Rapidly growing Biotech Manufacturer is seeking a Animal Technician near Dallas, TX! This is a great opportunity to work with an innovative company that has cutting-edge technology focusing on pre-clinical and clinical therapies! Must have previous Animal husbandry experience to qualify! Vet technicians who are looking to make an impact within oncology research would be a great fit for this role!
Schedule : Mon-Thurs 6a-4:30p (weekends and holidays as needed)
Pay: $18-$25/hr (depending on experience)
Location: 100% On-site- Plano, TX
Animal Tech Responsibilities:
  • Monitoring, handling, and caring for research animals; including providing feed, water, health checks and cage changes.
  • Maintain study records and preclinical research activity on each research animal.
  • Preclinical experiment (injection, bleeding, euthanasia, necropsies)
  • Animal healthcare, preparation, and follow-up (monitoring, tagging, weighing, and calipering)
  • Assist with the receipt, stocking, and maintenance of supply inventories.
  • Clean room facility maintenance and experiment preparation
  • Responsible for animal husbandry and euthanasia.
  • Handle radioactive materials.

Animal Tech Experience/Education:
  • High school diploma with 2-3 years of related work experience. Associates Degree with 1-2 years of related work experience.
  • Bachelors in animal sciences is preferred.
  • Interest in working regularly with radioactive isotopes.
  • Interest in working with animal models of cancer
