Position Description:
CGI is actively seeking an Angular Developer to help modernize user interfaces integrated with the Momentum suite supporting government financials. As an Angular Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining applications, creating custom modules, and integrating systems using Angular and related technologies. You will collaborate closely with fellow developers, engineers, and business analysts to design, develop, test, and deploy solutions that meet the needs of our clients. Opportunities for this position open to the applicant are in Washington, D.C. and Huntsville, AL.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Responsibilities include developing and maintaining both new and existing Angular and Java based applications. Whether troubleshooting a software defect, enhancing an existing application, or developing a new solution, you should be able to delve into frameworks and libraries to deliver coherent solutions aligned with the overall architecture of the application landscape. The successful candidate will be a member of a high-performing multi-site agile team and must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, time-management, and interpersonal skills. Effective communication skills are essential.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Academic background in computer science, computer engineering, or a similar major with extensive computer-based or technical content
3+ years of relevant development experience, with a focus on Angular development
Experience with a mixture of AngularJS 1.X, Angular 2.0+, TypeScript, Spring, SpringBoot, Java
Oracle SQL/PostgreSQL competency
Experience with GIT source control
Ability to bring projects to completion in a timely manner
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Ability to learn and understand the nature of business
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
Skills in HTML, JavaScript, JQuery, Bootstrap
