Job description

Church of the Good Shepherd is a gospel-centered Anglican parish in Bellevue, West Nashville, seeking a full-time Rector to shepherd our community into its next chapter.
Founded in 2020, Good Shepherd is a young, resilient congregation of approximately 100 adults rooted in Word, Sacrament, prayer, and fellowship. After a season of significant transition, we are a healthier, more grounded church - unified in our desire to abide in Christ and bear fruit for the sake of our neighbors.
We are not looking for someone to rescue or reinvent us. We are seeking a shepherd: a person of genuine faith, humility, and warmth whose leadership flows from a life deeply formed by prayer and Scripture. Our ideal Rector listens before acting, earns trust before leading, and is energized by the slow, faithful work of forming disciples together. More information about our parish can be found in our parish profile .
We are seeking someone who is:
  • Ordained priest within the ACNA with prior ministry experience
  • Holds an MDiv or equivalent
  • A Word-centered preacher who opens Scripture with depth and clarity
  • Adept at combining the richness of "High Church" liturgy with a relaxed and relational atmosphere
  • A warm, approachable pastor comfortable in hard conversations and at kitchen tables alike
  • Demonstrates emotional, spiritual, and relational health
  • Capable of fostering a vibrant and faithful parish life
  • Committed to the work of mercy and justice in our community, city and the world.
  • Supportive of the C4SO Canons, including the ordination of both women and men to the priesthood
  • Applications are reviewed by the Rector Search Committee in accordance with the C4SO discernment process.

How to Apply
We invite you to prayerfully consider this call and enter into discernment with us as we seek our next Rector.
To apply, please submit the following materials to rectorsearch@goodshepherdnashville.org:
  • Resume - including ministry and professional history
  • Spiritual Autobiography - a narrative account of your faith journey and sense of calling
  • Sermons - digital audio or video files of at least three recent sermons
  • Headshot - a current photo suitable for introduction to the parish

Application Deadline: May 31, 2026
