Chief Anesthesiologist opportunity at Boulders Ambulatory Surgery Center, serving Richmond, VA and the surrounding communities at a highly efficient outpatient orthopedic surgery center.
Description

Boulders Ambulatory Surgery Center provides exceptional care in outpatient same-day surgeries for patients that do not require overnight hospitalization. Equipped with four operating rooms, the center is staffed by a dedicated team focused on delivering an outstanding patient experience in a safe and convenient setting.

Case Assignments
100% orthopedic cases with CRNA coverage. Cases include total joints, sports medicine, hand, and healthy peds.
Shifts
Monday-Friday, no weekends.

Requirements
Responsibilities

Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
Pre-anesthesia assessment
Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
Performance of clinical intervention as needed
Requirements
M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
ECFMG and FLEX
Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
Currently licensed as a physician
