Job description

Riverside Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled Anesthesiologist to join their collaborative team in Newport News, VA. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive anesthesia care utilizing the latest technology within a nationally recognized facility. The position comes with an increased compensation package and sign-on incentives, making it an attractive opportunity for dedicated professionals.

  • Most comprehensive facility of its kind on the Virginia Peninsula
  • Short-term acute care hospital with 300 beds
  • Voluntary nonprofit and a member of Riverside Health System
  • Features a neonatal intensive care unit with 21 beds and on-site neonatologists
  • Diverse and challenging case mix includes general, endo, vascular, neuro, radiology, vascular, thoracic, urology, cardiac, bariatric, orthopedic, plastics ENT, OB, and GYN

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive anesthesia care across surgical procedures
  • Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and obtain informed consent
  • Develop and discuss anesthetic plans with patients
  • Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
  • Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition and perform interventions as needed
  • Support departmental coordination and clinical leadership

Compensation

  • Salary: $525K
  • Sign-on Incentives: $100K
