Job description

Thousands of children each year have surgery at Pediatric Surgery Center in Odessa, Florida. Established by pediatric doctors and nurses, Pediatric Surgery Center exists to meet both the emotional and medical needs of children and their families before, during and after a procedure.  We perform procedures in the specialties of ENT, Dentistry, Gastroenterology, General Surgery, and Ophthalmology.

Pediatric Surgery Center of Odessa is now hiring an Anesthesia Technician

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assist anesthesia providers in the OR with airway management and IVs.
  • Respond and assist in emergencies.
  • Order, stock and maintain anesthesia supplies.
  • Maintain anesthesia machines, crash cart & malignant hyperthermia carts daily.
  • Respond to emergencies in other departments.
  • Assist in other departments as needed.
  • Assist with positioning patients for surgical procedures.

Required Skills
Required Experience

1. High School Diploma or Equivalent.
2. Anesthesia Tech training
3. BLS certification required.
4. Two years experience as Anesthesia Tech required.
5. Good communication skills with physicians, staff and patients.
6. Understands operations of anesthesia machine, monitors, C02 analyzers, 02 sat analyzers. -Basic knowledge of Continuous Quality Improvement ideology.
