Job description

The Mayo Clinic Laboratory Director plays a key role in achieving operational excellence by improving outcomes and efficiency and reducing costs.  Oversight of both the Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) InVitro Fertilization (IVF/Embryology) Laboratory and the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology (DLMP) Fertility Testing (Andrology) Laboratory is required for this role.  The focus of the position is oversight of the quality and safety of the IVF laboratory and associated procedures and management of our growing embryology/andrology teams.

This position is responsible for monitoring quality control, record-keeping, and quality assurance as well as ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.  In addition to traditional infertility patients, the practice is seeing an increase in complex fertility care including third party reproductive care and preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) as well as fertility preservation patients and patients with significant reproductive surgery needs In addition to the oversight of our IVF and Fertility Testing Labs, there are significant opportunities for academic pursuits including collaboration with the Mayo Clinic Department of Medical Genetics, Center for Individualized Medicine, and Center for Regenerative Medicine.
