Job description

Description
The Developer - Mobile App role will collaborate with the eCommerce team and IT to develop, program, and test various projects utilizing the latest mobile technologies. In this role, the individual will design, develop, document, test, and debug the application. They will work with innovative technologies and enterprise-grade integration software on a daily basis and will be instrumental in advancing the customer's mobile app to a higher technological standard. Additionally, the individual will understand our customers' needs and how emerging technologies can enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Contributes to the full development life cycle, including concept, design, build, deployment, testing, release to app stores, and support for the Customer Mobile App (both IOS + Android, with a preference for Android)

  • Utilize source control and bug-tracking systems effectively

  • Review, and ensure they meet quality and accuracy standards

  • Perform unit and functional testing on code to ensure robustness, including testing for edge cases, usability, and overall reliability

  • Conduct research and development to assess innovative and emerging Mobile technologies and their potential to enhance the Customer Mobile App

  • Participate in the evaluation, recommendation, and implementation of third-party software as necessary

  • Demonstrates working knowledge of all core and common programming languages (Swift, Kotlin, .NET) that are critical for the running of the Customer Mobile App

  • Experience building applications using Compose for Android or SwiftUI for iOS

  • Applies security code best practices throughout development cycle

  • Ensure that all systems that are deployed and running in production have the necessary alerting and monitoring set up, along with the appropriate documentation for incident management

  • Attend all incident management calls pertinent to the area of the Customer Mobile App

  • Have a working knowledge of the AWS cloud implementation, Dev-Ops, Disaster Recovery and other systems needed for the reliability of the Customer Mobile App

Qualifications
Qualifications - External
What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
  • Bachelor's degree

  • Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems or related field

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role

  • 1+ years of experience with native iPhone and/or Android development platforms, with a preference for Android experience.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required

  • Able to manage multiple priorities and deliverables, both short and long-term, in a busy and aggressive environment required

  • Must be self-motivated, possess strong communication skills, and be able to work in a team-oriented environment required

  • iOS and Android SDK knowledge as well as AWS Cloud Technology

  • Experience using AI tools (Claude, Copilot, Codex, etc.) as part of the application development process is a plus.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
